“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was no place found for them.” Revelation 21:20
Jesus Christ is all our hope. The only hope any of us really has. Heaven and earth will one day pass away, the Bible promises. All the stars, the planets, the sun and moon, all of creation, both heaven and earth will soon flee away, and there shall be no place found for them. Imagine for a moment, standing before a Holy God and there is nothing left, but you and Him, and what you did with His love gift, Jesus Christ. If you have trusted Him as your Saviour, God will make all things new! The future holds a time by the decree of God, that one day, there will be no more sorrow, or pain, or sadness or crying. He promises, if we know Him as our Saviour, He will wipe away all our tears!
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
“And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.” That means you can count on it. It’s going to happen, just as He says.
One day everything will be new. The memory of this evil world will be gone. Our sins, if we have placed our hope in Jesus Christ, will be gone, the memory of our lost ones, the awareness of every evil deed or source of sadness, gone! The childhood pain of rejection, the losses, and grief of this life, all will be gone. Not a distant memory, but gone completely. It would have to be, for if we remembered, there would still be pain and sorrow, and crying. But He will make all things new so that we do not remember. Our pasts, with all it’s sin and pain will be gone forever.
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things: and I will be his God, and he shall be my son”. God promises.
To overcome, is to believe His words. This is the hardest thing to do in this life, simply believe His words. We give Him great honor when we believe His words. To do this pleases Him greatly! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. ” John 3:16
God always does what He says He will. We don’t. But He has and He will in time to come.
